long time has passed since I have a weekend only for me.
I drew for work, for me and I cook pastries and all this is incredibly satisfying, believe or not. (ok, It will be perfect if Ish would be here)
I give to myself a little gift: a subscription to an american magazine named Layers “the how-to magazine for everything Adobe” is the headline.
Btw.. the thumbnail you see there is intentionally blurry, click it and take a look to the illustration. It’s a simple shonen-ai scene colored with photoshopCS3.

I know a lot of people (like me) appreciate to see how to born an illustration so I have just created an album for tutorials and progress-art. For “yaoi kiss” I used MangaStudio for the lineart using a picture as reference.
It’s colored by PhotoshopCS2 with a Linda’s brush.
First I recommend to get ready with a color palette and whenever the coloring is finished you can play with some textures and the blending mode of layers.
Some words in the background can be added for a decorative purpose.

So che molte persone (come me) amano vedere come nasce un’ illustrazione così ho appena creato un album per i tutorial e i cosiddetti passaggi. Per yaoi kiss ho utilizzato MangaStudio per disegnare il lineart usando una fotografia come riferimento.
La colorazione e’ stata realizzata con Photoshop CS2 ed un pennello di Linda .
Consiglio di prepararsi la tavolozza dei colori prima di cominciare a dipingere in modo da non pasticciare troppo.
Una volta finita la colorazione si puo’ giocare con qualche texture e con i metodi di fusione dei livelli. Anche qualche parola sullo sfondo puo’ venire aggiunta a fini decorativi.
