• I started with Sketching the general shape of the subject. The brush I used is similar to a real pencil.
• I set the Sketch layer blending mode to Multiply and I created a new layer filled with two colors.
• I started painting without adding details just for understand lights and shadows.
• You can use any brush you want but the secret is to set a low ”flow rate of stroke”. Usually 10% or 17%.
• I brushed for some hours, adjust details. Another small secret is the use of the Dodge tool (O) for special effects. (see the eye!)

How to add and use a downloaded brush?
PHOTOSHOP: Select the Brush Tool (B), open the Brushes Window (F5) and open the dropdown menu (click che little arrow on top right of the palette) and pick “Load Brushes”. Choose the file and the new brushes will come into the list.

ILLUSTRATOR: Open the Brushes Window (F5) and into the dropdown menu choose “Open Brush Library”, then “Other Library”. Pick your file and it will come into the list.
