Sono molto addolorata per la tragica morte di Pippa Bacca. Mi tocca come se l’avessi conosciuta di persona. E’ vero che è stata ingenua ma questo non giustifica la sua fine atroce.

Adobe, you never cease to amaze me!! First with Kuler, later with Adobe Share and now with Photoshop Express!!
Get a try to the new flash application who emulate Photoshop: it can come in handy for someone who need to adjust a picture and he’s working with a computer without any cg softwares installed. The website looks like other adobe application, obviously has a noticeably small list of features but the service is free and comes with 2Gb of storage for your files. Thanks to this PS Express common people will be accustomed with the cg and the web will looks better (it’s ready for Picasa, Photobucket and Facebook)
It’s annoying that my Adobe ID doesn’t work there.

There’s another website that emulate Photoshop: SPLASHUP. It looks more like a real software and there are more features includes Layers (with Blend Modes!!) selection, brushes, filters and .. the free transform! Do you know that the geeklove-GIMP does not have this feature? O_o. I think the screenshot speak for me. Oh.. and SplashUp is ready for Picasa, Photobucket, Facebook AND Flickr. […]

Quando si dice che il lavoro nobilita è una bugia! Il lavoro ci fa passare 8/9 ore a stretto contatto con parecchia gente con cui non condividiamo niente e quando arriviamo a casa siamo troppo stanchi per goderci al 100% i veri affetti.

Il lavoro fa invecchiare e fa venire le pustole.

Le tavolette grafiche sono lo strumento essenziale per il moderno grafico ed illustratore.
Negli ultimi anni non è più un prodotto di nicchia perciò in commercio se ne trovano a prezzo accessibile e in diversi formati ma regna il caos completo nella testa di chi deve scegliere per la prima volta cosa acquistare. La confusione generale è alimentata - a parer mio -da articoli di recensioni scritti da chi non usa la tavoletta in maniera professionale e basa la sua conoscenza sulle pubblicità dei prodotti. Ne ho letti parecchi in giro in italiano e in inglese ed è per questo motivo che mi appresto a scrivere questo post per orientare all’acquisto.

La scelta è molto più semplice di quello che si immagina: se siete grafici o illustratori professionisti la vostra tavoletta grafica non può essere altri che una Wacom Intuos3. La serie intuos3 ha il puntamento assoluto anche nel formato A5 perciò se ci si abitua può andare bene anche un formato così piccolo che è comodo nel caso si lavori con un computer portatile. Personalmente trovo l’A5 troppo piccolo per poter dipingere in libertà: con una pennellata larga sarei già a fine foglio! Dai 350€ in sù.

E’ con una discreta coda fra le gambe che annuncio a chi mi conosce che quest’anno mi esenterò dal fare regalini di Natale.
A differenza di molte persone che hanno alti valori morali e condannano il consumismo di questa festa io mi giustifico dando tutta le colpa alla legge Biagi che mi costringe a questa prolungata ansia del mese dopo chiamata flessibilità lavorativa.

Deutsche Telekom patended Magenta (yes.. the primary colour!) with its logo, the T letter. The result is that in Germany nobody can use it. I’m flabbergasted at this news!!

Seriamente: Deutsche Telekom ha brevettato il magenta assieme al suo logo ( la T ) e nei limiti tedeschi teoricamente nessuno potrebbe usarlo. Assurdo non trovate?

This morning reading Computer Arts Magazine of April I was charmed by a japanese artist - Azusa Amano. I went to her personal website: it has a beautiful Flash intro but nothing more. So I searched with Google and I found an old gallery (from 2003 to 2005) and i saw a blog’s banner done with a picture of mine!!
When I started sharing stock picture in the 2002 I never expected to find all over the net so many illustration/website/adv with me! (yes, this is only the last one, not the first..)

Questa mattina leggendo Computer Arts di aprile sono rimasta affascinata da Azusa Mano, una designer giapponese che viene recensita nella rubrica “Nuovi volti del 2007″. Allora sono andata nel suo sito personale che ha una bellissima intro in flash e poi il nulla.
Quindi con google ho cercato qualcosa di più e ho trovato una sua gallery su deviantart e un suo vecchio sito in flash con opere che si fermano al 2005.
Proprio in questa sezione ci ho trovato un banner per un blog fatto con una mia fotografia che potete vedere dallo screenshot. O_o!
